With some destinations our children have a tailwind, with some a headwind
And the closer you have it to yourself and the more experience you bring, the sooner you can react to it.
The thing with the predators
Even babies have a naturally built-in alarm system in case you leave them somewhere alone. After all, they don’t know that nowadays children are usually no longer eaten by predators. The safety precautions taken, such as the baby monitor, cannot be felt by an infant. "The only safety signals they can understand are ‘proximity signals’ of familiar adults." But the parents must also be able to live with the sleep solution. "What is ‘right’ also depends on the costs and whether the parents can pay them or not. It doesn’t help to find the ideal path for the child if the relationship breaks or the parents otherwise run out of breath." Finally, even in the Stone Age, sleeping together was not always a win-win situation. Because at the latest when a sibling was on the way, conflicts were inevitable here too. This also explains, according to the author, that a child around the age of three or four suspects monsters under his bed. After all, from now on it had to expect a dangerous wild animal to approach its sleeping place.
Avoid the parenting guide trap
Children are treated differently in all races. What for one "normal" is, would never be an option for others. This trend is even becoming apparent within the individual companies. But it also makes no sense, says Herbert Renz-Polster, to treat your children as they were treated in the Stone Age. After all, the human race thrives on being able to adapt to almost any environment. "From evolution neither methods nor specific educational goals can be derived." And yet the evolutionary approach can broaden the perspective. "With some destinations our children have a tailwind, with some a headwind. With some goals, hundreds of thousands of years of history stand against us. (…) Because as well thought out our educational goals and methods may be – if they do not fit our evolutionary history, we as parents can only grit our teeth." "Without repeatedly asking ‘why’, we end up on the battlefield where no one can win – I want to mention the exaggerated promotion here or the much too early education to ‘independence’." The author sums it up like this: "Looking back is encouraging. He shows us a child with diverse potentials, diverse resources. We just have to get to know them!"
Women who suffer from an unfulfilled desire to have children should ban stress factors from their everyday lives and not allow themselves to be put under additional pressure by wanting to have children. Scientists from the United States have shown that stress worsens the chances of pregnancy and even increases the risk of infertility.
Fertility Calendar – When Are Your Fertile Days?
When are your fertile days?
Scientists at Ohio State University in Columbus followed 501 women between the ages of 18 and 40 who wanted to have children for twelve months or until they were diagnosed with pregnancy. They regularly took saliva samples and measured the levels of the enzyme alpha-amylase and the hormone cortisol, which indicate stress.
This is how strong stress counteracts the desire to have children
Cortisol has no effect, but women with high alpha-amylase activity have a 29 percent chance of getting pregnant every month. According to the study, these women are also more than twice as likely to be classified as infertile. The clinical definition of infertility applies if a woman does not become pregnant within a period of twelve months despite regular unprotected sex.
With yoga to the desired child
Ohio State University researcher Courtney Denning-Johnson Lynch recommended relaxation techniques such as yoga and meditation to women waiting to become pregnant.https://123helpme.me/argumentative-essay-topics/ Germaine Buck Louis from the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) adds: "The good news is that women most likely know by themselves which stress relief strategy works best for them", she said. There is no single correct solution.
The study on the influence of stress on the desire to have children is in the journal on March 24th "Human reproduction" been published.

Mental illnesses are increasingly becoming a widespread disease. As a study by the Institute for Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy at TU Dresden shows, around 38 percent of all Europeans suffer from a mental disorder. However, with self-help, you can treat some of the conditions.
Recognize mental illness
What Sigmund Freud once generally referred to as a neurosis now appears specifically as an obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety disorder, or depressive disorder. The symptoms are as different as the individual disorders themselves. If you feel a baseless sadness, have trouble sleeping and see life as meaningless, this often indicates a serious depression, whereas difficulty swallowing, shortness of breath or palpitations in certain situations indicates an anxiety disorder could be.
If you recognize these symptoms in yourself, contact your doctor immediately. He will advise you and arrange for a referral to a psychiatrist or psychotherapist if necessary.
Research the causes
Since mental illnesses usually cannot be traced back to organic causes, you have to identify the emotional trigger of your illness with the help of a psychiatrist or psychotherapist. Talk therapy or psychoanalysis has proven to be the most effective method within psychotherapeutic treatment. In a free conversation with a therapist, you reveal your underlying emotional conflict and can deal with it.
Help for self-help with anxiety disorders
Behavioral exposure therapy is a helpful method of coping with anxiety. In doing so, you learn to live through your fear and to endure it by consciously confronting yourself with it in controlled situations. Instead of fleeing and avoiding, learn to endure fear. You should also motivate yourself to do this.
Don’t waste any thought on what might happen, but strengthen your willpower with sentences like “I can do it!” Or “I can hold on”. Do this exercise regularly – this is the only way you can permanently master the situation. However, it cannot cure psychoses or depression. Other psychotherapeutic measures are required here.
Distract from fear
If you suffer from panic attacks, this can be stressful for you, but also for your environment. However, with a few little tricks you can increase your self-confidence and reduce the anxiety attack. Many of those affected find it helpful to face their fear with words. Phrases like “I know I have a panic attack right now, but nothing can happen to me” will take away your fear.

Distractions can also help reduce the impact of your anxiety. Chewing gum, for example, can shift your attention away from fear and focus on the current physical activity. It can also be helpful to snap a rubber band against your wrist.
The people in North Rhine-Westphalia have to be prepared for strict restrictions in the corona pandemic beyond Christmas and into the new year. On residents of "Extreme hotspots" with particularly high numbers of infections, additional requirements could apply. This was announced by Prime Minister Armin Laschet (CDU) on Wednesday after around seven hours of discussions between the state heads of government and Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU).
Previously, the federal and state governments had tightened the strict restrictions on personal contacts in the fight against the coronavirus for several weeks – with a limit on meetings to a maximum of five people from two households. For this they are relaxed over Christmas. Christmas can be celebrated with a maximum of ten people in the closest circle of families and friends, not including children up to 14 years. "It will be a Christmas that we have not experienced in recent years"said Laschet.
According to Laschet, restaurants and catering establishments are not allowed to open over Christmas. "All restaurants are closed, including at Christmas." The goal on Christmas days is that only "closest family members" be together. "There should be no Christmas parties, and there should be no parties at all on New Year’s Eve", says Laschet.
Laschet said all measures to contain the coronavirus should continue to apply until early January. Technically, however, they could only be extended by four weeks. But the federal and state governments have agreed to meet one another "medium term plan" for the citizens. "This means that all measures will apply until the beginning of January." There are special rules for contacts only for Christmas days, which are defined from December 23 to January 1.
The decision paper of the federal and state governments states: "The federal and state governments assume that extensive restrictions will be required by the beginning of January (especially in the catering and hotel sectors) due to the high level of infection. They will do another review and evaluation before Christmas."
According to Laschet, the number of corona infections is currently still too high to think about opening steps. Although the exponential growth in infections has been broken, the numbers continue "at too high a level". The all-clear could not be given. "The situation remains serious." The federal and state governments agree on this. The assessment that you can see public life after a month of the "Quiet", so through the partial lockdown in November can restore, "has not come true".
In districts or cities with particularly high numbers of corona infections "school-specific" from the 8th grade onwards, teaching is alternating at a distance and in schools. The measures for "Extreme hotspots" apply from 200 infections per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days, said Laschet.
This does not mean, however, that entire cities or districts go to alternate classes across the board. Rather, it is decided on a school-specific basis depending on the infection situation in the respective city. It is not about that "Solingen model", which the NRW Ministry of Education had previously prohibited. In Solingen, due to the high number of infections, all schools should take alternating lessons. In NRW, nine out of 53 districts and cities were above the incidence value of 200 on Wednesday.
In very special cases, schools or retail outlets could also be closed. But in NRW there is "No city is currently the reason to take such harsh measures".
The November aid for businesses particularly affected by the lockdown, such as restaurants, hotels and cultural institutions, will be extended into December, according to Laschet.
Laschet had campaigned for consensus between the political parties and the states in the corona crisis before the federal-state meeting. Everything that is decided by the federal and state governments on Wednesday should be in North Rhine-Westphalia "implemented as one-to-one as possible". At the same time, Laschet promised that if the number of infections declined, then youth sport and culture would first be eased.
Laschet again promoted face-to-face teaching. "The kitchen table at home in a 2 or 3 room apartment is not a better place to learn. The best place to learn is the school"he emphasized. All prime ministers agree on this. The early Christmas holidays from December 19 in North Rhine-Westphalia have now become a model for all of Germany to have a few days of parental leave until Christmas as a protective measure.
After a fight at Munich’s Stachus on Friday evening, four men between the ages of 21 and 36 were charged with dangerous bodily harm. Why it came to the dispute between the two groups, each with around ten people, is still unclear, said a police spokesman on Sunday. The criminal police are investigating.
